. The role directs hospital operator and information desk staff, ensuring reliable staffing, emergency call handling and accurate computer phone database maintenance.

• Perform lobby receptionist duties to maintain acceptable staffing levels.
• Demonstrate proficiency in handling emergency calls and ensuring coverage for hospital operator and/or information desk in management’s absence.
• Oversee monthly department on‑call schedules and lead training of new staff in the hospital operator and information desk department.
• Answer calls in a timely fashion, exhibiting strong customer service skills and achieving service excellence for callers.
• Carry out proper activation procedures using computerized phone and paging systems for life safety codes.
• Model Nuvance Health values and maintain regular, reliable and predictable attendance.
• Perform other duties as required.

• Minimum of 6 months’ experience in a switchboard, direct customer service or guest services position.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong telephone and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a small office environment, occasionally handling light manual tasks.
• Valid HSD or equivalent certification.

$21.49 – $30.00 per hour.
