Time Surgical Physician Assistant - Vassar Brothers Medical Center; north of N

The Surgical PA Service at Vassar Brothers Medical Center is seeking to add a board-certified full-time Physician Assistant to join its team. We are a hospital-based group that offers a supportive and team-based environment with exposure to multiple surgical subspecialties. Responsibilities include OR coverage as well as management of admissions, consults, floor rounds, post‑op management and discharge of patients. This position is a great opportunity for growth and exposure to high acuity patients, complex procedures and a high volume of DaVinci Robotic Surgery cases.

This position is for three 12-hour shifts per week with one weekend shift per month. There is an extensive onboarding and training period as well as a supportive environment for collaboration and learning.

• The qualified candidate will be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program and be NCCPA certified as well as possess strong surgical and patient management experience.
• Candidates with at least one to three years of surgical experience and/or surgical residency trained candidates preferred, but new graduates will be considered as will new nurse practitioners with RNF certification and surgical experience.
