About Our Program:
As a Level II, American College of Surgeons verified Trauma Center, Vassar Brothers Medical Center provides comprehensive and expeditious care for victims of traumatic injuries. Our multidisciplinary trauma team includes:
- Board-certified trauma surgeons
- Orthopedic surgeons
- Neurosurgeons
- Emergency medicine physicians
- Anesthesiologists
- Radiologists
- Critical care specialists
- Nurses, and rehabilitation experts
The team provides 24-hour immediate coverage to assess and treat patients according to national guidelines, with a focus on maximizing patient recovery and outcomes. Our comprehensive approach includes:

- Comprehensive Orthopedic Trauma Care

The ideal candidate is:
- BE/BC in Orthopedic Surgery
- Fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma required
- New graduates and experienced surgeons encouraged to apply
Compensation for this position is a competitive $1,700 for a 24-hour non-restricted call shift.
