Job Description

Summary: The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) is seeking knowledgeable and enthusiastic tutors to provide academic support to our students. Tutors will work one-on-one or in small groups to assist students in achieving their academic goals across a variety of subject areas, including but not limited to:

  • Mathematics:
    Developmental/Remedial through Pre-Calculus, Statistics
Responsibilities
  • Provide academic support through individual and group tutoring sessions
  • Teach effective learning strategies to help students succeed in coursework
  • Support students in developing study skills, time management, and confidence
  • Adapt tutoring strategies to meet the diverse needs of students
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in the relevant content area or equivalent work experience
  • 1-2 years of experience working with college or high school students
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead group tutoring sessions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior teaching or tutoring experience
  • Experience working with English as a Second Language (ESL) students
  • Knowledge and experience supporting underrepresented or first-generation college students
