Regal Cinemas Galleria Mall 16 - Cast Member - Closing Availability - $16/hr - Free Tickets + 50% off food

Regal Cinemas in Poughkeepsie is looking for part-time cast members who are passionate about movies and want to deliver excellent service, cleanliness, and a memorable movie‑going experience in a fun, energetic, and engaging environment. What You Will Do

Floor Staff / Cast Members are the face of Regal and will provide guest service by selling tickets, concessions, and/or working as an usher. Weekend availability is required, and weekday opening and/or closing availability is preferred.

  • Act as a company representative, consistently attending shift, handling emergency situations, performing general cleaning duties, and complying with the dress code.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Box Office
    • Operate POS system, ensuring cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, and redeemable tickets are accurate.
    • Upsell and suggestive-sell Premium Viewing Experience (3D, RPX, IMAX).
    • Promote the Regal Crown Club program.
    • Ensure tickets are sold in accordance with the MPAA rating system and company policy.
    • Respond to phone calls and guest questions consistently with our service philosophy.
  • Concession
    • Operate POS system and handle cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, and coupons; manage concession stock inventory.
    • Promote the Regal Crown Club program.
    • Operate, prepare, and clean all concession-related equipment.
    • Upsell and suggestive-sell concessions.
    • Comply with all local, state, and federal food safety laws.
    • Abide by federal and state break and meal period laws.
    • Maintain current alcohol certification and training where required.
    • Complete required training on sexual harassment and discrimination.
  • Usher
    • Process tickets, deposit stubs, and direct patrons to auditoriums.
    • Inspect backpacks and packages when applicable.
    • Manage crowd control, assist guests in locating seats.
    • Enforce MPAA rating system and conduct in‑theatre inspections for picture and sound quality.
    • Report problems, discrepancies, or unusual situations to management.
    • Perform in‑auditorium concession auxiliary sales as directed.
    • Clean auditoriums after shows and maintain cleanliness of restrooms, lobby, hallways, and other areas outside auditoriums.
    • Monitor vending equipment and assist with opening and closing duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Education / Experience
    • Completion of the cast certification program as a cast member and as a box office cashier, or progress toward completion.
    • Complete any required state or local alcohol training and obtain the Regal Responsible Beverage Server certificate if selling/serving alcohol.
  • Language Ability
    • Good public speaking, active listening, and clear, direct responses.
  • Math Ability
    • Perform calculations quickly and accurately; identify and correct errors.
  • Reasoning Ability
    • Identify problems, gather relevant data, note possible causes, evaluate alternatives, and reach evidence‑based conclusions. Perform under pressure.
  • Personal Skills
    • Excellent communication with customers, coworkers, and management; set priorities, budget time, and achieve objectives.
  • Physical Demands
    • Frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, and talk. Occasionally climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. May lift up to 60 lb. Requires normal vision and depth perception.
