Work Environment

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist in our outpatient setting, you will work closely with a diverse patient population, from athletes recovering from injuries to older adults managing chronic conditions. Our outpatient office is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and tools, allowing for the execution of advanced therapeutic techniques and modalities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions to establish personalized treatment plans addressing their specific needs.
  • Implement various therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to manual therapy techniques, exercise prescriptions, and modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
  • Educate patients and their families about treatment protocols, home exercise programs, and strategies for self-management to promote independence in daily activities.
  • Participate in clinical teaching by providing mentorship and guidance to interns, new hires, and fellow therapists, fostering a culture of continuous learning within the organization.
  • Collaborate with the management team to identify opportunities for clinical research, helping to enhance the standards of care at Restore Strength.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records to ensure the continuity of care and compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with other healthcare providers to create cohesive treatment plans and contribute to comprehensive patient care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on orthopedic patients, ranging from post-operative rehabilitation cases to individuals with acute or chronic musculoskeletal conditions. You will play a significant role in crafting recovery strategies that consider the unique needs of each patient. Your ability to build rapport and understanding with patients will directly influence their motivation and commitment to rehabilitation.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or higher from an accredited institution is required.
  • A valid and active Physical Therapy license in the state of New York.
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy, showcasing a strong foundation in assessment and treatment protocols.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
  • Proficient clinical assessment and treatment skills, with a commitment to continuously updating knowledge of rehabilitation techniques.
Preferred Experience
  • Certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is highly desirable and will be considered a significant asset.
  • A proven track record of successful outcomes in a clinical outpatient setting will strengthen your candidacy.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
