The Grand Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking a Human Resources Director to lead day-to-day HR operations at one of our skilled nursing facilities located near Brewster, NY. This role is ideal for an experienced healthcare HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment and enjoys being hands‑on with employees and leadership alike.

• Lead all onsite human resources functions for a skilled nursing facility
• Partner with department heads to support staffing, employee relations, and retention
• Credentialing and onboarding new hires per NYS requirements
• Administer payroll, benefits, and data accurately and confidentially
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and NYS Department of Health regulations
• Support performance management, coaching, and corrective action processes
• Maintain employee files, reports, and HR documentation
• Serve as a visible, approachable HR presence for staff and leadership

• Prior HR experience in a nursing home or healthcare setting (required)
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
• Working knowledge of employment law, labor compliance, and HR best practices
• Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high‑volume environment
• Experience with payroll and benefits administration preferred
