Come work with us! Ideal candidates live in or around Poughkeepsie; however, we're looking for great people in all areas of Upstate New York!

Candidates should be available to work events during Thursdays - Saturdays between 4 pm - 12 am. Events are typically 2-4 hours in length. The starting hourly rate is $30+/hr, with potential to increase up to $40+/hr based on skills. Additional opportunities are available for those willing to be our eyes and ears in the market. Candidates must be 21 years and older.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

MKTG Brand Ambassadors are brand enthusiasts who educate consumers on high-profile brands during on-, off-, and experiential special events. They deliver safe and engaging experiences, helping consumers make informed brand decisions, and actively engage consumers at the point of purchase and experience to reinforce and increase brand awareness. They embody and humanize the brand, building consumer trust through product knowledge and education.

Responsibilities include engaging consumers to recognize, prefer, and purchase our client brands. MKTG hires personable, friendly, and professional Brand Educators. They participate in promotional events and complete online training about our client brands, acquiring extensive knowledge to pass exams and deliver presentations representing the brands effectively.

This is an Occasional Employment Position. Hiring as a Brand Educator does not guarantee a set number of assignments. Brand Educators must sign all required forms and adhere to MKTG policies, procedures, and the NA Diageo Marketing Code.

$30+ Per Hour, plus Mileage & Expenses (if applicable)

WORK SCHEDULE:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in managing events
  • Complete event setup and breakdown
  • Engage in quality conversations with consumers about brand preferences and options
  • Distribute premium items as directed
  • Troubleshoot challenges during events
  • Build relationships with account staff
  • Participate in training, calls, workshops, and exercises
  • Coordinate with Event Managers and peers
  • Provide timely feedback in event recaps
  • Learn and adhere to company policies and procedures
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Engage and educate consumers at the point of experience, purchase, and consumption
  • Humanize brands and build consumer trust through education
  • Lead consumers through product sampling where legal
  • Complete digital training for brands and programs
  • Use tech platforms for information input and representation
  • Arrive on time, dressed appropriately, prepared for promotions
  • Distribute premiums and follow responsible serving guidelines
  • Pre-merchandise accounts with POS
  • Pay for bar spend or products via company debit card
  • Accept and deliver promotional materials
  • Care for and return company property
  • Complete post-event reports and contribute to social media
  • Report on competitive activity and maintain professional appearance
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be 21+ years old
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Availability of at least 20 hours per week
  • Comfortable working in retail outlets
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and carry heavy items
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outgoing personality with passion for brand advocacy
  • Previous promotional/marketing experience preferred
  • Responsible, reliable, punctual
  • Neat appearance and ability to work independently or in a team
  • Legal to work in the US, with a valid US driver’s license and own transportation
  • English proficiency; bilingual candidates encouraged
