Certified Nurse Mid Wife Per Diem, Poughkeepsie, NY (75 minutes North of New York City) – Vassar Brothers Medical Center, part of Nuvance Health, is seeking an experienced Certified Nurse Midwife to join our OB/GYN group for per diem work. We are a collaborative Midwife/OB-GYN team providing care to a diverse patient population that draws from multiple counties in the Hudson Valley.

The ideal candidate is dedicated to the midwifery model of patient empowerment, and to providing full-scope care grounded in compassion and shared decision making. The shifts are 24 hours only.

• Provide full-scope midwifery care grounded in patient empowerment, compassion, and shared decision making.
• Collaborate as part of a team of seven board-certified physicians in a busy OB/GYN practice with offices in Poughkeepsie, Fishkill, and Highland.
• Offer care within a Labor and Delivery Unit with a Level III NICU and a robust perinatology program; admit patients to Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie.
• Engage in patient education, interdisciplinary collaboration, and maintenance of high clinical standards with a diverse patient population.

• Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) with eligibility to practice in New York.
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to establish rapport with patients and families.
• Commitment to evidence-based care, patient education, cultural sensitivity, and lifelong learning.
• Reliable, adaptable, and demonstrated clinical competence with compassion and empathy.
• Experience working with diverse populations and in a collaborative healthcare setting.

Practice offices are located in Poughkeepsie, Fishkill, and Highland. The OB/GYN team works with Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie and the local community in the Hudson Valley.

$85.00 hourly
