Job SummaryWe are seeking a motivated and passionate Sales Representative to join our team and represent our portfolio of fine wines and spirits across the Upstate New York region. This role involves managing existing accounts, acquiring new clients, and driving sales growth through strategic territory planning and relationship building.
Key Responsibilities- Develops and maintains strong relationships with potential and existing accounts in the wine and spirits industry;
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market presence. - Develop and implement strategies for sales in the assigned region;
Applies knowledge of the field and product features to match products to the needs of clients. - Provides information, quotes, credit terms and other specifications to clients;
Prepares and submits orders. - Present and promote priority brands through tastings, training and promotional events;
Achieve monthly sales targets and placement goals. - Collaborate with order department, purchasing department, managers and other staff to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are distributed properly;
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, account visits and inventory updates. - Periodically prepares and reports results, status of accounts, and leads to manager.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Education:
Associate degree - Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience in wine and/or spirits sales, preferably in the Upstate NY market.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills;
Attention to detail and high personal standards of performance. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment;
Existing network of buyer relationships is a plus. - Strong negotiation skills;
Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational abilities. - Passion for wine and spirits, with a desire to continue learning;
Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the territory. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
