As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driver in Poughkeepsie, NY
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Unarmed Officer, where you'll help deter security-related incidents and provide exceptional customer service in a dynamic retail and mall environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and communicate clearly with visitors and staff. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18 - $19 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM
• Thur 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM
• Fri 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM
• Sat 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM
• Sun 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner to help maintain a secure environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or property damage within the location to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist in controlling access points and monitor entry and exit of individuals to deter unauthorized access.
• Communicate clearly with Allied Universal management, client representatives, and local authorities as needed.
• Support emergency response efforts, including assisting with evacuations or other procedures as directed by site-specific protocols.

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
