Security Officer – Access Control & Patrol
Poughkeepsie, NY | Multiple Schedules | $21.00/Hour
We are currently seeking professional and dependable Security Officers to join our team at a high-profile commercial construction site in Poughkeepsie, NY.
These positions offer opportunities in both access control/gate operations and security patrols
. We are looking for officers who are reliable, professional, observant, and comfortable interacting with employees, contractors, visitors, and vendors.
Pay: $21.00/hour
What You'll DoDepending on your assigned post, responsibilities may include:
- Monitor and control access to the property
- Verify employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors
- Monitor entry and exit points
- Maintain accurate visitor and access records
- Conduct scheduled security patrols
- Monitor site activity and identify potential security concerns
- Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies
- Prepare detailed daily activity and incident reports
- Enforce site security policies and procedures
- Provide professional customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors
- Maintain a visible and professional security presence
- Communicate security concerns to site management and the security team
- Active NYS Driver’s License
- Clean driving record
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Must be willing to provide proof of education
- Valid NYS Security Guard License strongly preferred
- Previous security, access control, construction site, corporate, or customer service experience is a plus
- Strong communication and observation skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the assigned shift
A valid NYS Security Guard License is strongly preferred

If you previously held a NYS Security Guard License that has expired, we cannot consider you for these positions, as the renewal/relicensing process may take approximately 3–4 months.
