Fitness Equipment Repair Technician

Base pay range

$21.00/hr - $25.00/hr

McCollister’s Fitness Solutions is seeking hands‑on, mechanically inclined individuals to join our growing team as Fitness Equipment Repair Technicians. No prior fitness equipment experience is necessary—if you have a background in automotive repair, appliance servicing (washer/dryer), electrical motors, or general mechanical work, we’ll provide the training you need to succeed.

This role also includes pre‑building new fitness equipment in preparation for delivery and installation.

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in various types of fitness equipment (treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, strength machines, etc.)
• Pre‑build and assemble equipment according to specifications before delivery
• Use manuals, schematics, and technical documents to guide repairs and assembly
• Perform preventative maintenance and replace parts (belts, motors, wiring, etc.)
• Maintain service records and communicate job status to coordinators or clients
• Keep a clean, organized workspace (warehouse and/or client site)
• Travel to customer sites for on‑location diagnostics and repairs, as needed

• Mechanical aptitude or experience in auto repair, appliance repair, HVAC, electrical motors, or similar trades
• Familiarity with tools (hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment)
• Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs and standing for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Prior experience working with fitness equipment
• Basic understanding of electronics and wiring
• Experience with fitness brands such as Technogym, Matrix, Life Fitness, or Precor

• Paid on‑the‑job training with room for advancement
