Position Summary

The Residential Coach II (DSP) will be responsible for the provision of individual services as identified in the Individual Service Plan and by the treatment team for individuals who need specific assistance and supports. He/she will be responsible for maintaining current medical services and following up on the medical needs of the individuals within the program. The Residential Coach II (DSP) will be responsible for the supervision of the daily activities/responsibilities of the residents.

The Residential Coach II (DSP) helps the resident achieve valued outcomes and promotes individualization (self-determination & choice), independence (self-reliance to the extent possible), integration (involvement with relatives and friends and belonging to a neighborhood community) and productivity (accomplishments that contribute to the person’s own life and the lives of those around them). The Residential Coach II (DPS) is required to provide hands on assistance to individuals with a higher medical, physical or behavioral need for support.

Full Time:

  • Thursday
    - Monday 6am-2pm (40 hrs/wk)
  • Wednesday-Sunday 7am-3pm (40 hrs/wk)
  • Tuesday-Saturday 7am-3pm (40 hrs/wk)
  • Sunday-Thursday 1pm-9pm (40 hrs/wk)
  • Sunday-Thursday 3pm-11pm (40 hrs/wk)
  • Thursday-Monday 3pm-11pm (40 hrs/wk)
  • Friday-Tuesday 3pm-11pm (40 hrs/wk)
  • Sunday-Wednesday 11pm-9am (40 hrs/wk)
  • Saturday
    - Tuesday 10pm-8am (40 hrs/wk)

Part Time:

  • Friday-Saturday 3pm-11pm (16 hrs/wk)
  • Thursday-Friday 11pm-7am (16 hrs/wk)

Salary Range
: $18.41-$20.41 per hour


** Weekend Shift Differential of $1.00 per hour for hours worked Friday 11pm
- Monday 7am **

Note:

The rates outlined above are contingent upon being deemed eligible to drive by our insurance carrier. Should you be deemed ineligible to drive and the program is able to make a non-driver accommodation, a lower rate of pay will apply.

Depending on the needs of the program, additional certifications (training provided) for med administration $1.00, insulin $.50, G-Tube $1.00 and ostomy care $.50!

Position Standards
  • Establishes a working relationship with all residents and supervises their participation in daily activities as needed.
  • Ensures the safety and well-being of the residents.
  • Provides training and assistance to the residents in developing basic skills in appropriate social behaviors and communication, safety, housekeeping, personal care, health care, medication administration, money management, using public transportation, menu & meal preparation, grocery purchasing, and planning recreational activities.
  • Assists the resident in achieving progress toward their individualized-based outcomes.
  • Is an active participant in the service planning process.
  • Documents attendance, daily community habilitation notes and log entries.
