Job Overview
Crosspoint Christian School is looking for a Long-term Substitue Second-Grade teacher who is a committed follower of Jesus, called to Christian education, and has experience integrating faith and learning in the classroom.
This position includes teaching second-grade students in all core subject areas, with an emphasis on creating an engaging and supportive classroom environment. The teacher will guide students in developing foundational skills in reading, writing, math, and science through interactive lessons and hands‑on learning experiences. A love for young learners, creativity in instruction, and a commitment to fostering curiosity and confidence are essential for this role.

Salary Range: $18-$25/hr
Hours per week: 40 hrs/wk

Planning and Teaching- Follow a curriculum map for each course taught, where learning objectives are aligned with WA state graduation requirements.
- Use a variety of teaching methodologies to create an engaging and safe classroom setting where all students are held to high expectations.
- Incorporate technology in meaningful ways into instruction and learning.
- Utilize Renweb for inputting all assignments, tests, quizzes, and projects in a timely manner, using the grading scale provided by the school.
- Keeps an accurate record of all grades for each student.
- Keeps an accurate record of all attendance and tardiness for each student.
- Maintains discipline in the classroom to ensure maximum learning.
- Communicates with parents on an “as needed” basis regarding their student’s academic or behavioral status in the class.
- Returns phone calls and emails within 24 hours.
- Keeps an accurate record of all communications with parents.
- Attends all in‑services, department meetings, and school events as scheduled.
- Performs any other duties that may be assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 1 year of teaching experience at the elementary level.
