Special Education Para educator – Poulsbo Middle School
North Kitsap School District is seeking a Special Education Para educator to support the ISP Life Skills program.

Base pay range$403.00/hr – $403.00/hr
Position Specifics- Hours:
6.25 hrs/day (may be shorter on Wednesdays) over 180 days/year. - Anticipated start date: 1/6/26

Poulsbo Middle School - Program: ISP Life Skills
- Support students with mental and/or physical disabilities with daily tasks such as eating, grooming, wheelchair transfer, lifting, and toileting.
- Assist with behavior management and student discipline; provide training as required.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and support staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Highly Qualified Para educator documentation (college transcripts or Para Pro test results) to meet the Every Student Succeeds Act.
- High school diploma or equivalent; provide documentation.
- Experience working with children in a public school setting.
- Training or experience with behavior management is a plus.
