Behavior Support Specialist | Poway Unified School District

Be the steady presence in the room that helps every student find their footing.

The Stepping Stones Group (SSG) is hiring Behavior Support Specialists to join our IMPACT℠ program in California. In the IMPACT model, you'll be embedded in one classroom of up to 10 students, working side by side with a small team of fellow specialists, the classroom teacher, and a Behavior Coach. Together, you turn behavior science into daily practice, one routine, one interaction, and one breakthrough at a time.

This isn't a float-between-rooms role. You'll know your students, their strengths, and what works for each of them. You'll be part of a team that shows up together, learns together, and celebrates together.

Know your students deeply. One classroom, up to 10 students, and a consistent team. You'll build real relationships and see real growth over time.

A team in the room with you. You're never on an island. Work shoulder to shoulder with other Behavior Support Specialists, the teacher, and a Behavior Coach who is there to model, guide, and support you.

Learn from the best.Get hands-on mentorship and real-time feedback grounded in SSG's ABLE℠ framework and Behavior Coaching℠ methods, built from real classroom practice.

See the difference.Track progress with classroom data and watch students gain skills, confidence, and independence.

Backed by a national clinical team.BCBAs, school psychologists, SLPs, and OTs are part of your support system.

Build a career in behavior.Whether you're heading toward BCBA certification, a graduate degree, or a future coaching role, you'll gain experience that moves you forward.
