We have an exciting opportunity for a 2nd shift Production and Engineering Liaison to join our manufacturing team in Poway, CA. Under general supervision, this position is responsible for evaluating and resolving engineering production issues related to manufacturing, design, quality and material engineering.
Duties and Responsibilities- Analyzes, evaluates and resolves engineering related production problems.
- Analyzes defective, damaged or malfunctioning parts, assemblies, equipment and systems; routes non-conforming reports and develops corrective action.
- Develops manufacturing processes, procedures and tooling; trains appropriate staff.
- Represents the group as a member of the change control board.
- Analyzes, investigates and recommends design and process changes; coordinates with engineering and manufacturing departments.
- Ensures compliance with laws, regulations and applicable obligations in all operations.
- Maintains a productive and safe working environment in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
- Other duties as assigned or required.
- Typical requirement:
Bachelor’s degree and two or more years of progressive professional experience in a technical capacity in production operations; equivalent experience may substitute education. - General knowledge of production and engineering support principles, theories and concepts; understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles; knowledge of tool design and concepts.
- Customer focused, with ability to develop new concepts, coordinate work phases, determine appropriate approaches, and provide solutions to varied technical problems.
- Good communication, documentation, presentation and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with all levels of employees and management.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment; willingness to work extended hours and travel as required.
Full‑time position. Salary range: $56,820 – $96,015.
