Sustainment Engineer Data Specialist

Overview

This role is responsible for managing and maintaining critical engineering data systems that support product lifecycle and operational efficiency. The position combines expertise in ERP and PLM systems with strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills. Ideal candidates will ensure accurate item master data in Net Suite, administer Windchill for product lifecycle management, and support part‑setup processes to enable smooth engineering and manufacturing operations.

• Maintain and update item master records in Net Suite, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
• Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and item attributes for new and existing parts.
• Support quoting and order processes by ensuring timely part creation and data integrity.
• Perform regular audits and data cleanup to maintain system accuracy.

• Install, configure, and maintain the Windchill PLM system to support engineering workflows.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Windchill‑related issues; coordinate upgrades and patches.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with internal standards.
• Provide training and support to end‑users on Windchill best practices.

• Create and release new part numbers and BOMs in Windchill and Net Suite based on engineering change requests (ECR/ECO).
• Collaborate with engineering, planning, and operations teams to ensure timely implementation of changes.
• Support lifecycle management activities, including obsolescence planning and configuration control.
• Assist with documentation and process improvements related to part setup and data management.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in ERP and PLM administration (Net Suite and Windchill preferred).
• Strong understanding of BOM structures, item master data, and engineering change processes.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting, system configuration, and user support.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple sites and teams.

• Experience with Suite Script or Suite Talk for Net Suite customization.
• Familiarity with PTC Windchill modules (PDMLink, MPMLink).
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and product lifecycle management.
• Strong communication and training skills.
