About the Role:The Sales Engineer is responsible for generating quotes and proposals for work that meets AM&Ts core competencies. This position acts as the main point of contact between AM&T and its customers. Additionally, this position will interact with all departments to ensure jobs are quoted accurately and to provide reoccurring feedback to management and customers as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate incoming request for proposals / quotes and review all associated technical information and drawings.

Receive and process incoming purchase orders, create appropriate documents, and transfer information to operations

Maintain excellent relationships with current customers and seek to deepen and strengthen the relationships.

Manage multiple active quotes and deadlines while following up with customers.

Serve as the point of contact with customers, requesting clarifying information, suggesting alternative materials and methods, updating progress, etc.

Take meetings with customers and give facility tours as needed. Communicate AM&Ts capabilities and sell the value-added AM&T provides to its customers.

Prepare and present to our customers recurring status meetings as required.

Prepare/update sales forecasts and assist with quarterly budget updates.

Strive to achieve goals and KPIs as defined by General Manager.

Other duties as assigned.

Comply with all Advanced Machining and Tooling policies and procedures.

Proficiency with CAD software

Strong GD&T knowledge4 + years of experience

Experience with various manufacturing processes (ex: heat treat, chem film etc.), and machining processes, materials and cost drivers

Experience quoting parts from drawings

Experience with tight tolerance parts

Experience in precision engineering and aerospace

Understanding of ERP/job-tracking systems

Ability to interpret RFQs, engineering drawings, and material specifications

Strong organizational skills to manage quotes, purchase orders, and internal handoffs

BS in Engineering Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools. (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Ability to prepare and deliver customer presentations or facility tours
