Composite Technician

We are hiring a Composite Technician for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Poway, CA within the aerospace and defense manufacturing industry. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician with composite fabrication, lamination, mechanical assembly, or aerospace manufacturing experience who wants to build advanced composite structures used in precision applications.

As a Composite Technician, you will fabricate, assemble, bond, trim, drill, sand, vacuum bag, and finish composite parts using blueprints, work instructions, hand tools, and measuring instruments. • Fabricate and assemble composite components using blueprints, engineering drawings, templates, and work instructions.
• Perform composite layup, cutting, trimming, drilling, sanding, routing, vacuum bagging, bonding, and finishing processes.
• Apply structural adhesives, sealants, rivets, bolts, screws, inserts, bushings, and brackets to assemble composite parts and subassemblies.
• Prepare bonding surfaces through sanding, cleaning, treating, masking, and material preparation procedures.
• Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, jigs, fixtures, and templates to meet dimensional and quality requirements.
• Maintain accurate production records, follow safety procedures, support inspections, and keep the work area clean and organized.

• Salary Range: $21.64 to $31+ per hour, based on level, shift, and experience.
• Level I, 1st Shift: 5:00 AM to 2:30 PM, $21.64 per hour, 1+ year of experience.
• Level I, 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM to 12:30 AM, $22.64 per hour, 1+ year of experience.
• Level II, 1st Shift: 3:00 PM to 12:30 AM, $25.50 per hour, composite or lamination experience required.
• Level II, 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM to 12:30 AM, $26.50 per hour, composite or lamination experience required.
• Level III, 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM to 12:30 AM, $31+ per hour, composite or lamination experience required.
• Overtime may be required as needed.
