About On-Demand
You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM). Your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those seeking a personalized work schedule. On-Demand TMs are not included on the posted weekly schedule but can create their own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via the myTime mobile scheduling app.

Reliability and prompt attendance are necessary. Active engagement by picking up shifts at least once every 4 weeks (minimum four hours) is required. If you do not respond to our contact attempts or do not work at least one shift within 5 months, employment may be terminated. After being offered a position, you will attend Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term training schedule.

The myTime app is used to pick shifts after training.

Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Knowledgeable about in-store and digital services that drive adoption and loyalty. Deliver fast, easy service at checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while maintaining quality.

Role Responsibilities

• Deliver service that prioritizes the guest experience and follow the service standard
• Greet guests and assist with tasks to create a welcoming environment
• Assist guests with needs and resolve concerns
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to resolve guest issues
• Thank guests and acknowledge their visit
• Scan and bag items efficiently and in compliance with safety standards
• Minimize guest wait time while maintaining accuracy
• Inform guests about current brand launches and events
• Promote Target Loyalty programs and assist with enrollment; be familiar with fulfillment services
• Explain Target App features and Wallet usage
• Handle returns following policies; escalate to leadership as needed
• De-escalate situations and recover guest experience per policies
• Provide easy and accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and stock supplies during store hours
• Maintain safety, ethics, and compliance; report hazards
• Support guest services such as order pick up, Drive-Up orders and returns; ensure compliance with applicable laws
• Support cash office processes as needed
• Other duties based on business needs
