Overview

Guest Advocate (Cashier or Front of Store Attendant/Cart Attendant) (T0296) rting hourly rate: $19.00 USD per hour.

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest experience by delivering the service standard.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and assisting with daily tasks.
• Engage with guests to solve their specific needs and resolve concerns.
• Inform guests about current promotions, store activities, and events.
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve issues and improve the guest experience.
• Thank guests and communicate appreciation for their visit.
• Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with sign-up as needed.
• Scan and bag items efficiently and accurately, in compliance with safety standards and best practices.
• Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality and accuracy.
• Explain how to use Target App features and Wallet.
• Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering, and help guests enroll and use these features.
• Handle returns following store policies, seeking supervisor assistance as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and stock supplies during store hours while available for guests.
• Operate in a safe manner, comply with safety policies, report hazards, and correct where possible.
• Support guest services such as order pickup, drive-up, and related duties with compliance to applicable laws and policies.
• Other duties as needed per business requirements.

• Accurately handle checkout operations and support cash office tasks as needed.
• Scan, handle, and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally without assistance.
• Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance.
• Ability to stay mobile for the duration of a shift.
• Comfort with varying temperatures and humidity in duties such as Drive-Up or carryout operations.
