As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Poway, CA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned financial institution locations, helping to deter security‑related incidents and responding to situations as needed. This role is both armed and driving, requiring you to maintain a visible presence while providing exceptional customer service and communication.

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the financial institution and its perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help deter unauthorized access and maintain an orderly environment.
• Document and report any security‑related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and communicate with team members and site management regarding security‑related concerns.
• Assist with access control procedures, verifying identification, and monitoring visitor and employee movement within the location.

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A California weapons permit with 9mm caliber endorsement is required.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
