Support accurate timekeeping and inventory control as a full-time Accounting Clerk in Powell River, British Columbia, with weekday hours.
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Financial Services, this temporary Accounting Clerk role continues through September 30, 2027. The position reviews timecards, processes inventory and purchasing transactions, maintains records, and responds to routine inquiries. Accuracy, discretion, and confidentiality are essential when handling payroll and supplier-related matters.
Key Responsibilities:- Review and record employee timecard information accurately
- Process inventory and purchasing transactions
- Maintain purchase orders, transaction records, and supporting documentation
- Reconcile timecard and inventory information
- Respond to routine employee and supplier inquiries
- Grade 12 diploma and one-year accounting-related certificate
- Minimum three accounting courses within the certificate program
- WHMIS certificate and one year related experience
- Intermediate spreadsheet and basic word processing skills
- Ability to type 40 words per minute and enter 6000 keystrokes hourly
