Assumption Catholic School in Powell River, BC is looking for a dedicated Grade 3/4 Teacher for a 0.6 FTE maternity leave position for the  school year. Share your passion for Catholic education and student support.

As part of Assumption School, this role seeks educators committed to fostering a rich learning environment. Candidates must be certified by the BC Ministry of Education and actively involved in a Catholic parish. Successful applicants will demonstrate experience in differentiating instruction and a caring attitude towards diverse learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tailor instruction to accommodate various student needs

• Establish a welcoming and supportive classroom

• Communicate effectively with students and their families

• Work collaboratively with fellow teachers on best practices

• Provide engaging extracurricular activities for students

Requirements:

• Valid teaching certificate from the BC Ministry of Education

• Active participation in a Catholic parish

• Strong commitment to high standards in Catholic education

• Exceptional communication and teamwork skills

• Readiness to create opportunities beyond the classroom
