Climbing Camp Leader

Join Top Out Climbing Co-op as a Climbing Camp Leader in Powell River this summer. This role invites you to lead adventurous outdoor experiences for children while managing safety and fun.

As a Climbing Camp Leader, you will engage young campers aged 10 and under in climbing-related activities and crafts. This temporary position runs from July 7 to August 14 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, focusing on providing support and guidance throughout each camp session. You will create an environment filled with excitement and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily climbing and craft activities

• Ensure camper safety and emotional support

• Handle day-end attendance and handover procedures

• Provide information updates to parents and guardians

• Administer minor first-aid responses calmly

Requirements:

• Prior rock climbing experience and belay certification

• Passion for engaging children and youth

• Effective management of behavioral issues

• Excellent organizational and communication skills

• Willingness to engage fully with camp schedules
