The salary range for this position is CAD $40.19/Hr.
- CAD $50.20/Hr.
Come work as a Respiratory Therapist with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) at qathet General Hospital in Powell River, BC.
Practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice as outlined by the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) as well as within a patient and family centred care model and the vision and values of the organization. This role performs ongoing respiratory care in an interdisciplinary setting to patients with tracheostomies and/or variety of illnesses/diseases including, but not limited to acute and/or chronic respiratory illnesses or pathologies of the airway.
Enhances quality of life from the perspective of the patient/family by consulting, conferring and collaborating with other health care professionals. Demonstrates continuous improvement and best practice approach in respiratory practice. Conducts various cardiac diagnostic tests such as Electrocardiogram (ECG), stress testing and Holter Monitoring for analysis and interpretation by medical staff. Maintains and advances own clinical competence and participates on committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned.
