Vancouver Coastal Health is searching for a dedicated Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to contribute to exceptional patient-centered services. The position involves performing detailed ultrasound examinations and ensuring adherence to safety protocols while working within the Lower Mainland Medical Imaging framework. The ideal candidate is skilled, compassionate, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct abdominal, obstetrical, pelvic, and vascular ultrasound exams

• Receive and process imaging requisitions methodically

• Engage with and prepare patients throughout their procedures

• Actively participate in departmental committees and research initiatives

• Follow established guidelines for safe imaging practices

Requirements:

• Completed a recognized Medical Diagnostic Sonography program

• Certification from Sonography Canada or ARDMS is essential

• Pediatric experience preferred for select roles at BC Children's Hospital

• Strong knowledge of safety procedures and sonography techniques

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a healthcare context
