Position: City Facility Maintenance Worker
Join the City of Powell River as a Facility Maintenance Worker I, providing essential custodial and maintenance support in a part-time role. Ensure facilities are clean, safe, and ready for public use.

With experience in custodial or facility management, you will handle basic repairs, support equipment operations, and maintain a welcoming environment for public activities. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong communication skills and a proactive approach in various operational duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor public use and maintain safety protocols

• Carry out general maintenance and custodial tasks

• Assist with facility setup for scheduled events

• Conduct routine inspections and repairs of equipment

• Ensure facilities meet cleanliness and safety standards

Requirements:

• High school (Grade 12) education or equivalent

• Valid B.C. Class 5 Driver’s License required

• Experience in public recreation facility operations

• Mandatory safety and maintenance training certifications

• Ability to lift, push, and pull as needed
