As a key member of the Parks, Recreation and Culture department, the Civic Properties Janitor provides vital janitorial services across city facilities. This position focuses on maintaining cleanliness while reporting hazards and maintenance issues to your supervisor. Attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures are crucial to supporting day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks daily

• Assist with basic facility upkeep and reporting issues

• Maintain cleanliness of public and staff spaces

• Follow established safety procedures during cleaning

• Coordinate cleaning tasks within set schedules

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent

• One year of janitorial experience required

• W.H.M.I.S. Certificate and Building Service Worker 1 Certificate

• Valid B.C. Class 5 Driver's License

• Ability to obtain RCMP Enhanced Security Clearance
