Family Enhancement Counsellor

Make a difference in the lives of youth and families as a full-time Family Enhancement Counsellor in Powell River, British Columbia. Provide critical support, counselling, and training in community settings.

This full-time role requires a Bachelor of Social Work, Child & Youth Care, or related human services degree, along with experience working with youth and families. Flexibility in hours is essential, as support services will be delivered primarily in clients' homes and community areas. A valid Class 5 driver’s license and a reliable vehicle are mandatory for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer counselling and support programs to families and youth

• Facilitate group and parenting training sessions

• Deliver services in community settings and client homes

• Maintain flexibility for varied service hours

• Collaborate with other service providers as necessary

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

• Experience working with youth and families

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable vehicle

• Satisfactory criminal record check

• Flexibility in work hours for community outreach
