List of Requirements

We're looking for someone who

  • Enjoys working with people and building positive relationships.
  • Has experience in community support, social services, health care, recreation, or a related field.
  • Is organized, dependable, and able to work independently.
  • Has strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • Is comfortable using computers and common digital tools.
  • Is willing to learn about acquired brain injury and person-centred support.
  • Experience with brain injury is an asset but not required.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Search.
  • First Aid/CPR certification is an asset.
  • Food Safe certification is an asset.
List of Duties
  • Provide one‑on‑one support to individuals living with acquired brain injuries.
  • Help clients identify and work toward personal goals that promote independence and community participation.
  • Connect clients with community resources and services.
  • Plan and facilitate group programs, workshops, and recreational activities.
  • Support community outreach and brain injury awareness initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with families, healthcare providers, and community partners.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client documentation.
  • Assist with newsletters, social media, and other communication projects.
