As a District School Counsellor, you'll play an essential role in understanding and responding to the diverse needs of students. You'll work collaboratively with staff and families to develop effective strategies for student well-being and support. Your expertise will be vital in facilitating programs aimed at prevention and community involvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Offer counselling services to children and youth
• Support the development of wellness programs
• Work collaboratively with School-Based Teams
• Engage with parents to discuss student issues
• Provide knowledge of community services for families
Requirements:
• Completion of Bachelor of Education
• Master’s degree in Counselling or related field
• Eligible for BC Teacher Regulation Branch membership
• Expertise in counselling practices with diverse students
• Exceptional communication and organizational abilities
