This position is temporary and available in the qathet Regional District, requiring flexibility in work hours. The role emphasizes community engagement and prevention strategies, along with collaboration with various service agencies. Candidates should possess specialized knowledge in sexualized violence and abuse, combined with strong public speaking skills, for effective program delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Connect with referral sources to boost program visibility
• Communicate with service agencies for effective referrals
• Extend services to Texada Island, Lund, and Tla’amin Nation
• Develop and deliver public education workshops
• Engage with community members of all ages
Requirements:
• Degree in a related field
• Three years of relevant experience
• Clear criminal record check
• Valid BC driver's license and access to a vehicle
• First aid/CPR certification
Deliver vital support, education, and outreach promoting the Sexual Assault Support program in Powell River.
