Need a dedicated and customer‑oriented Baker to join our team in a safe, clean environment. Responsibilities include assisting the department manager with sales and profit goals, maintaining quality standards, and delivering excellent customer service while embracing the Customer 1st strategy and the company values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
Responsibilities- Prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment.
- Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
- Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.
- Provide customers with fresh products that match ordered portion size to prevent shrink.
- Recommend deli or bakery items to customers.
- Use all equipment in bakery such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens, countertops per company guidelines.
- Prepare foods according to food temperature logs and cooking instructions.
- Measure, prepare and mix ingredients per recipe using kitchen utensils and equipment.
- Prep, package, label and inventory ingredients in merchandise.
- Check product quality to ensure freshness.
- Follow temperature logs and keep records.
- Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
- Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to department manager.
- Know store layout to locate products when requested.
- Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
- Maintain knowledge of products and make suggestions.
- Note inventory discrepancies and keep inventory accurate.
- Maintain proper temperatures and keep temperature logs.
- Promote trust and respect among associates.
- Create a welcoming, appreciative environment for customers.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Enforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions.
- Inspect equipment for preventive maintenance and report failures.
- Report customer or employee accidents to management.
- Work cooperatively in high‑paced and stressful environment.
- Manage conflict in a cooperative, non‑confrontational manner.
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary.
- Support minor, individual with special needs, and older adults.
