Assistant Cook – Powell High School

Join Park County School District #1 as an Assistant Cook at Powell High School. The role supports the district’s school lunch program from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., hiring Full-time staff while offering a base pay of $17.05/hr (subject to skills and experience). The position is available 2‑hour shifts on school days during the 2025‑2026 school year.

• Assist with food service operations for the district’s lunch program.
• Serve as a member of the district food service team.
• Work cooperatively with building‑level staff to prepare, present, and serve nutritious meals.
• Assist with necessary clean‑up of cafeteria areas.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen environment.

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Ability to work independently, with limited supervision, and effectively with other staff, students, and district personnel.
• Proficiency in food preparation required; experience with institutional food prep preferred.
• Formal training or proven competency in food sanitation highly preferred.
• Willingness to obtain relevant training/certification in food service areas as required.
• Adaptability to specific or new working situations.

Position:
Assistant Cook – Powell High School (Hours 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.)

Salary: $17.05/hour (Base Wage Schedule 2025‑2026). This is not a benefit‑eligible position.

Employment Term:
Four (4) hours per day on school days during the school year.
