Mechanical Fitter – £42,000 + Premium Paid On-Call Rota (1 in 5 weeks)

Location: Disley

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm (early finish at 4pm on Fridays!)

Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Are you a Mechanical Fitter who loves getting hands-on with high‑spec, industrial machinery?

Do you thrive in a fast‑paced engineering environment where no two days are the same?

We’re partnering with a rapidly growing, forward‑thinking manufacturer in the Disley area, and they’re looking for a driven Mechanical Fitter to join their expanding Engineering team. You’ll be working on automated production equipment keeping the heartbeat of the operation running smoothly.

• Building and assembling mechanical components from detailed engineering drawings
• Carrying out mechanical maintenance, fault finding, and reactive breakdown support
• Completing routine PPM to keep equipment in peak condition
• Working with gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, and various automated systems
• Supporting production teams to maximise uptime and efficiency
• Following strict health & safety procedures including LOTO and risk assessments
• Getting involved in occasional facilities maintenance
• Taking part in a 1-in-5 on‑call rota – paid at premium rates on top of salary

• Apprentice‑trained or equivalent in mechanical engineering
• Manufacturing background
• Mechanical fitting, inspection, troubleshooting and maintenance experience
• Background within automated or fast‑paced manufacturing environments
• Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• TIG welding skills (a bonus not essential)
• Strong health & safety awareness
• Happy to join the paid on‑call rota (every 5 weeks)
