$40,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr

This is a great opportunity to join an active litigation team and to work on complex medical malpractice lawsuits on behalf of healthcare providers.

The litigation paralegal will assist the firm’s attorneys with all tasks that arise including records collection, discovery, and all aspects of trial preparation.

• Light phone duties and greeting of clients
• Drafting correspondence, pleadings, and discovery (requests and responses)
• Submitting and following up on requests for medical records, Social Security records, and personnel records
• Composing summaries and chronologies of medical records
• Maintaining records of trial and case deadlines
• Communications with clients, insurers, and witnesses
• Filing documents electronically
• Ensuring effective service of documents (electronic and hard copies)
• Other duties as assigned

• One (1) to (5) years of litigation experience in a law firm or similar legal environment is preferred but willing to consider all levels of experience
• Pleasant and professional demeanor
• Ability to work collaboratively with all members of the office team, as well as with outside co-counsel

Compensation and hours will be commensurate with the experience and skills of the successful candidate.
