Maintenance Director - Assisted Living
Arvum Senior Living invites applications for a full‑time Maintenance Director for its assisted living facilities. The position is based in Kansas City, MO. Working hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM with a Manager‑on‑Duty weekend rotation every 6–8 weeks.

Responsibilities- Supervises maintenance of buildings, grounds, security and mechanical assets of the community.
- Executes housekeeping, laundry and transportation services in accordance with community policy and procedures.
- Oversees the total operation and maintenance of the campus and ensures building standards are met.
- Develops vendor relationships and negotiates contracts for maintenance services when appropriate.
- Conducts apartment inspections prior to occupancy.
- Responds to after‑hours calls for maintenance emergencies.
- Develops and implements a comprehensive preventative maintenance program and work‑order system.
- Plans, organizes, develops and leads housekeeping/laundry operations in compliance with federal, state and local laws.
- Reviews monthly financial statements and implements corrective actions for deficiencies.
- Processes and submits monthly expenses and budget data on time.
- Manages team member staffing and scheduling per operational and budgetary guidelines.
- Ensures transportation vehicles are maintained, inspected and operating safely.
- Oversees safe passenger transport to and from community destinations.
- High school diploma or bachelor’s/technical degree in a related field.
- At least four years of maintenance supervision experience.
- HVAC experience or training.
- Knowledge of machinery, tools, repair techniques, plumbing and related repair.
- Experience with electrical systems, phone systems, fire panels, emergency response systems and disaster preparedness.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Leadership skills that inspire and motivate others to perform well.
