Reporting to the Market Leaders are Area Directors and then General Managers. Assistant Managers help run departments and support day‑to‑day management responsibilities.

Position DescriptionWe serve made‑to‑order soups, salads, sandwiches and specialty espresso beverages in a grease‑ and alcohol‑free environment.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Take responsibility for overall business performance including ordering, scheduling, labor management, marketing, facilities management, bakery operations, and catering.
- Analyze and plan restaurant sales levels and profitability and create and execute plans for sustained profitability.
- Act as primary conduit of information between associates and the management team.
- Retain and develop team members and managers.
- Manage the budget and control costs.
- Coordinate entire operation during scheduled shifts and greet customers using table visits to ensure satisfaction.
- Coach associates through one‑on‑one sessions, performance documentation and reviews.
- Address problems proactively and serve as the primary resource for resolving associate questions.
- Serve as primary specialist within the bakery‑cafe, ensuring associates are trained and competent in all aspects of food service.
- Recruit and train staff to meet staffing par levels.
- Ensure objectives are achieved while operating within company guidelines, values and ethical practices.
- Promote a professional image and embody company values.
- At least 2–3 years hospitality management experience.
- A degree or equivalent experience in hospitality or hotel/restaurant management preferred.
- Food management certifications a plus.
- Strong “Run it like you own it” mentality.
- Stand and exert well‑paced mobility for up to ten (10) hours.
- Safely lift pots, pans, glassware, boxes, etc. up to 50 pounds.
- Read and write to facilitate communication.
- Finger and hand dexterity for small tools and equipment.
