Job Description & Requirements

Pratt Energy is searching for a skilled and driven Process Engineer. In this dynamic role, the Process Engineer will directly partner with Department leadership to achieve technical and operational objectives. This role is integral to driving innovation, supporting plant operations, and fostering a high-performance team culture and will report to the Plant Manager.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities:
Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Environmental & Safety, Quality Control, and Administration teams to implement and uphold standards across the site, troubleshoot and improve plant operations, and align engineering efforts with business goals. Track and monitor performance against cost and reliability objectives. Make sound technical decisions that support operational and financial goals. Identify, Design, Execute and Manage capital projects to improvement plant processes, including modifications and/or additions to facilities and field instrumentation.

Provide project engineering support on all projects, including scope definition, design development and cost estimation. Ensure compliance with safety and Process Safety Management requirements. Participate in and uphold standards for plant management systems. Contribute to special projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering degree is required. Five to Ten years of experience in process support and/or process design. Expertise in best practices in chemical manufacturing. Strong knowledge of Process Safety Management and handling hazardous chemicals. Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage ambiguity. Exceptional communication skills in writing, speaking, and presenting. Analytical thinking and problem-solving expertise.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Able to read and develop P&'s and blueprints, understand mass balances, perform equipment specifications and verifications, and troubleshoot process equipment design. Familiarity with process simulation software and AutoCAD is a plus. Plant setting: walking, bending, and lifting or moving objects up to 25 pounds. Ability to travel as needed to other manufacturing facilities.
