Job Details:

• Work in a Med/Surg ICU with drips, vents, bipaps and occasionally arterial or CVP monitoring

• Maintain a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2

• Care for patients of all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics

• Unit has 6 rooms and 6 beds total

• ICU may hold medical overflow non-icu patients at times

• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required

• Kansas nursing license or compact license required at time of submission

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS

• All RTO must be available at time of submission

• Previous charge experience preferred

• One reference required

• May float to different units as needed

• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions

• Complete approximately 1 hour of non-billable modules pre-start

• Skills include arterial line management, ventilator management, cardiac and vasoactive drip titration, central line care, blood product administration, and interpretation of ABGs
