Production Manager, Operations Manager
Line Leader at Old World Industries
Position
Purpose:
The Line Leader is responsible for coordinating and overseeing daily operations on the DEF production line to ensure efficient workflow, high-quality output, and a safe working environment. This role manages incoming components, directs labor assignments, supports equipment maintenance activities, and contributes to special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead and coach a team of production employees to ensure smooth and efficient line operations.
- Operate, monitor, and maintain production line equipment to minimize downtime and support optimal performance.
- Conduct routine inspections and perform preventative maintenance on production machinery.
- Support inventory control processes, manage small-scale operational projects, and perform forklift duties as needed.
- Partner with the Plant Superintendent on daily operational needs, project implementation, and process improvements.
- Promote and uphold a safe work environment by ensuring compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and standards.
- Maintain strong housekeeping and organizational standards throughout the production area.
- Track production performance, monitor key metrics, and hold team members accountable for achieving operational goals.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with prior leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong understanding of warehouse and production operations, policies, and procedures.
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members in a fast-paced production environment.
