Your Day at Lowe's
As a Customer Service Associate, you will welcome customers to Lowe's and help them find the right products and services for their home improvement needs. You will interact with customers throughout the day, help them find and select products, occasionally load merchandise, and ensure all customer needs are met.
While you will spend most of your time listening to customers, answering questions, and organizing merchandise, your daily responsibilities may vary by department.
Customers are served in various departments:
Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Inside Garden, Hardware, Tools, Millwork, Building Materials, Plumbing, Electrical, Paint, Home Décor, Tool Rental, or Pro Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and deliver friendly, professional service.
- Assist customers in locating and handling merchandise.
- Down stock merchandise by replenishing shelves.
- Process orders and deliveries accurately.
- Cross‑functionally train in other store areas.
- Prepare merchandise per customer needs (e.g., mix paint, cut pipe).
- Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- 6 months experience using a computer for data entry and retrieval.
- 6 months experience using common retail technology (smart phones, tablets).
- Reading, writing, basic arithmetic.
- Ability to stand, sit, and perform required tasks for extended periods.
- Can lift 25 lbs unassisted or >25 lbs with or without accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Retail or customer service experience.
- Bi‑lingual skills.
- Certification in a trade related to the department.

Travel Requirements
This role does not require regular travel, but occasional travel for meetings or training may be necessary.
Working Conditions
Environmental conditions vary; employees may work indoors and outdoors in varying climates and temperatures. Noise, vibration, and equipment movement are common. Lifting guidelines apply; single lifts limited to 75 lbs, team lifts used for heavier loads.
