Printpack is seeking a candidate for the Laser Laminator Assistant role. This position supports the operation of Laser Adhesive Laminators to produce high-quality laminated and/or perforated products while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards. The role reports to the Press Supervisor.
Shift
Hours:
3PM to 11PM. An additional $2.50/hr premium is added to salary for hours worked between 7pm-7am. Any hours worked outside of 7pm-7am will not receive the premium.
- Assist in the safe operation and setup of Laser Adhesive Laminators
- Follow all safety policies and actively support a safe work environment
- Work collaboratively with operators, supervisors, and support teams
- Communicate production or equipment issues promptly
- Learn and apply job specifications, quality standards, and technical documentation
- Monitor equipment and processes to ensure product quality
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with other machines as operational needs require
- Meet performance expectations for productivity, waste, quality, safety, and attendance
- Adhesive lamination, anti‑fog coating, cold seal, OPV
- Outboard and inline laser perforation (16‑head systems)
- High OTR structures, including fresh produce applications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Stable work history
- Previous experience using industry standard tools (pneumatic and electrical)
- Previous experience with Lock Out/Tag Out procedures
- Manufacturing or printing experience preferred
- Strong teamwork, communication, and safety focus
- Willingness to learn advanced laminating and laser processes
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred
- Previous experience working with Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts preferred

- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must pass pre‑employment assessments
- Drug screening required
- Background check required
- Capability to lift and move up to 65 pounds
- Ability to climb, kneel, bend, and squat
- Proficiency in grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine motor skills
- Ability to climb ladders safely
- Capacity to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to wear required PPE (hearing protection, steel‑toe shoes, safety glasses)
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain forklift and motorized pallet jack certification
- Noise levels above 85 dB
- Operation of complex machinery
- Solvents, fumes and inks within the plant
- Variable temperatures
- Must be able to work flexible shifts
- May require nights, weekends, and holidays
