Printpack is seeking a candidate for the Laser Laminator Assistant role. This position supports the operation of Laser Adhesive Laminators to produce high-quality laminated and/or perforated products while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards. The role reports to the Press Supervisor.
Shift

Hours:

3PM to 11PM    An additional $2.50/hr. premium added to salary for hours worked between 7pm-7am. Any hours worked outside of 7pm-7am will not receive the premium.
** Key Responsibilities
*** Assist in the safe operation and setup of Laser Adhesive Laminators
* Follow all safety policies and actively support a safe work environment
* Work collaboratively with operators, supervisors, and support teams
* Communicate production or equipment issues promptly
* Learn and apply job specifications, quality standards, and technical documentation
* Monitor equipment and processes to ensure product quality
* Support continuous improvement initiatives
* Assist with other machines as operational needs require
* Meet performance expectations for productivity, waste, quality, safety, and attendance
** Machine & Process Support
*** Adhesive lamination, anti-fog coating, cold seal, OPV
* Outboard and inline laser perforation (16-head systems)
* High OTR structures, including fresh produce applications
** Education/

Experience:

*** High School diploma or equivalent required
* Stable work history
* Previous experience using industry standard tools (pneumatic and electrical)
* Previous experience with Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
** Preferred Qualifications
*** Manufacturing or printing experience preferred
* Strong teamwork, communication, and safety focus
* Willingness to learn advanced laminating and laser processes
* Previous manufacturing experience preferred
* Previous experience working with Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts preferred

* Additional Requirements:

*** Must be at least 18 years of age
* Must pass pre-employment assessments
* Drug screening required
* Background check required
** Physical Demands:
** The associate will be exposed to the manufacturing environment where hazards and requirements may include but are not limited to:
* Capability to lift and move up to 65 pounds
* Ability to climb, kneel, bend, and squat
* Proficiency in grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine motor skills
* Ability to climb ladders safely
* Capacity to stand and walk for extended periods
* Ability to wear required PPE (hearing protection, steel-toe shoes, safety glasses)
* Forklift certification or ability to obtain forklift and motorized pallet jack certifications
** Work

Conditions:

** The majority of tasks will be performed in a manufacturing setting with potential exposure to:
* Noise levels above 85 dB
* Operation of complex machinery
* Solvents, fumes and inks within the plant
* Variable Temperatures
* Must be able to work flexible shifts
* May require nights, weekends, and holidays.
