- Strong skills in critical care nursing.
- Required to titrate drips including sedation, vasopressors, and insulin.
Description:
Unit provides a comprehensive level of care within one unit for multiple acuities.
The unit accommodates 10 beds with varying nurse-to-patient ratios depending on acuity.
ICU ratios are 1:2, PCU ratios are 1:4, and MST ratios are 1:5-6 with fluctuating staffing.
Successful candidates must pass a dysrhythmia exam with a score of 80% or higher within two attempts before contract signing.
Staff is required to monitor telemetry and perform 12-lead EKGs.Charge RN manages 50 inpatient beds across various acuity levels.
Remote Monitor Technicians are available for patient monitoring.
Shifts run every other weekend with rotation for holiday coverage.
Floating to related units may be necessary based on patient care needs and staffing requirements.
Dress code permits most scrub colors except camouflage.
Charting is done using an electronic system.
