As a Pet Grooming Stylist, you will provide professional grooming services to our valued customers’ pets. Your expertise and attention to detail will ensure that each pet receives exceptional care and leaves looking and feeling their best.

• Perform professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts, styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning.
• Operate and maintain grooming instruments (clippers, blades, shears, brushes, dryers).
• Prioritize animal safety and well‑being, monitoring pets for discomfort or injury and reporting concerns immediately.
• Assess each pet’s needs based on coat type, skin condition, temperament, and provide customized recommendations.
• Communicate with pet parents, deliver high‑quality customer service, address inquiries, and offer grooming recommendations.
• a clean, sanitary grooming area, sanitizing tools and equipment, and fulfilling daily and weekly cleaning duties.
• Adhere to Petco grooming policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure safety and consistency.
• Provide training and support to entry‑level trainees when required.

• Successful completion of the Pet Stylist Apprentice program or equivalent professional grooming training.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; not required.
• Independent judgement and problem‑solving skills in routine to moderately complex grooming scenarios.
• Results‑driven with ownership of grooming salon performance.
• Attention to detail and passion for animals.
• Proficient in breed‑specific cuts and grooming standards.
• Excellent communication skills with pet parents and team members.
• Ability to handle pets of all sizes and temperaments with care.
• Availability for weekends, evenings, holidays as needed.

Indoor grooming salon with required bending, kneeling, lifting (up to 30 lbs), and standing for long periods. Exposure to heights using ladders or vacuums. Noise and wet environment.
