Job Title: Warehouse Associate
Location: Prescott Valley, AZ
Compensation: $17–$19 per hour
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team in Prescott Valley, AZ. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager/Supervisor or Store Manager, the Warehouse Associate will be responsible for a variety of warehouse functions, including order pulling, receiving shipments, unloading freight, stocking shelves and racks, handling will-call orders, and assisting both customers and internal associates as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Warehouse Operations: Participate in receiving, processing, pulling orders, loading trucks, and stocking inventory.
- Inventory Management: Receive, identify, mark, and place materials in the warehouse according to established procedures; perform regular cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Record Keeping: Maintain records such as orders, bills of lading, proof of deliveries (PODs), will-call logs, and other related files and reports.
- Safety and Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse daily; foster a safe working environment with goals of zero lost time and zero recordable incidents; participate in safety training.
- Customer and Team Support: Assist counter sales associates and store managers as necessary; communicate clearly and professionally with customers and internal associates.
- Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education/experience.
- Experience: 2–3 years of previous warehouse experience is required; 2–3 years of sit-down forklift experience is required; forklift certification is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong time management abilities; able to work well under pressure.
- Proficient in applying simple numeric concepts and researching alphanumeric part numbers.
- Basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of proper lifting techniques, health and safety practices, and inventory methods.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. on a continuous basis.
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout the scheduled work shift.
- Use of hands for grasping, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to stoop, bend, and twist.
- Comfortable working with machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature, and possible exposure to elements such as dust and fumes.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Proficiency in applying simple numeric concepts and researching alphanumeric part numbers.
- Clear and professional communication with customers and internal associates.
- Adherence to safety standards and practices at all times—no exceptions.
- Willingness to work overtime when needed.
- Knowledge of inventory and cycle counts.
- Understanding of proper lifting techniques, health and safety practices, and inventory methods.
- Basic computer skills.
